What can the Challenge of Change do for me?
We all have traits or characteristics we wish we didn’t have. We’d all like to be happy and feel fulfilled and challenged. But often we feel overwhelmed by the pressures of life and work and loose our way.
When did you last have a really good day at work? Was it when you’d achieved something, something that meant you had to stretch yourself a little? It’s often said that people can’t perform at their best continuously, that they ‘burn themselves out’ but why does this happen? What makes some people feel overwhelmed and loose focus and motivation, while others seem to be so much more resilient and able to manage the effects of workplace stress?
Personal Resilience
The Challenge of Change (CoC) Resilience training programme is a unique evidence-based approach that teaches a simple 4-step strategy for enhancing resilience. The programme is based on enabling choice and empowerment - bad habits can be unlearnt and good ones can be learnt, allowing you to become truly resilient.
With the CoC Resilience programme you can regain that feeling of being in control, of being focused and productive and not waste time worrying about the ‘what ifs’ and ‘if onlys.’
Says course developer, Dr Derek Roger, “People tend to think that coping is managing to keep your head above water. Resilient people are presumably those who can hold their breath longer when the flood rises, but this is just surviving. Real resilience is knowing there’s no water to keep your head above.”
The Profile
The course begins with a unique pre-training questionnaire, The CoC Profile, which provides insight into personal strengths and weaknesses. The results remain confidential at all times, but the training programme gives individuals personal understanding and new ways of coping with bad habits.
A range of materials is provided to ensure continued practice of the training, including a comprehensive work-book and audio CD. If necessary, follow-up sessions can also be provided for on-going reinforcement and consolidation of the training principles.
Challenge of Change Dream Team
Most of us at work are members of teams, but what exactly is a team? Often being a team member amounts to little more than a label like ‘the sales team’.
The Challenge of Change Dream Team Training Programme clearly shows whether the team is a team or just another label, as well as providing clear and simple strategies for taking teams from hardly functioning to good, and from good to great.
The training allows team members to understand and exploit individual differences and similarities in the interests of the common team purpose. Throughout the process, team members are supported by developing mutual trust, respect and openness. The process is managed in a way which facilitates change, emphasising the unique contribution of each team member to the success of the overall team.
The Challenge of Change Dream Team Training Programme is exclusive to the New Zealand market but has already received high acclaim from such leading organisations as The Warehouse and Meridian Energy.
