The Challenge of Change has been implemented in a wide range of public and private sector companies both in the UK and NZ. Here in NZ adoption is gathering momentum amongst leading organisations including Meridian Energy, The Warehouse, Mitre 10, Hort Research, AgResearch and the Department of Internal Affairs.

With a family tradition rich in footwear heritage, Shane Anselmi opened the first Overland store in 1990 after an inspiring trip overseas where he had a vision of the concept. Overland currently operates as a privately owned family business with 46 stores nationwide and continues to grow. The passion and love of fashion, footwear and design that brought Shane’s vision to life is still evident and felt through every area of the organization.

Our current team is approximately 300 diverse and talented individuals strong and together we live the vision and values and share in the passion and experience that is Overland. For the last 6 years running (2005 - 2010) Overland have been recognized as a finalist and celebrated as a Best Place to Work in the 'JRA Best Workplaces Awards'.

“I’ve been involved with The Challenge of Change three times now, twice with my previous employer and now with Overland. We’ve undertaken both the Resilience and Dream Team programmes and found both to be really beneficial - particularly relevant in the challenging retail environment where the only real constant is change.

The Resilience Training really helped me on a personal level and equipped me with the tool kit I needed to deal with the demands of my role. I’d say that I’m a convert and find it very useful to revisit the programme every couple of years to refocus my thinking. Dream Team also quickly identified underlying team issues in a non-confrontational way and thanks to Derek’s unassuming manner people were relaxed and able to open up and take on board what they needed to make improvements.
